About Michael A. Scardillo:

I have always been involved with art all things artistic. I was really never sure what I wanted to do when I grew up. I used to watch horror films as a kid; they use to scare the heck outta me. I used to try and imitate what I saw, making films with my Dad's HUGE video recorder, using ketchup for blood, and Halloween masks that I had at the time. As I grew up, so did the projects and items that I used.

I was a fan of Special FX and Make-up before I even knew what it was or what it took to bring the FX to life. Tom Savini made my head spin with his awesom FX! When I first saw Young Jason (Ari Lehman ) pop outta that lake, man... I musta played, re-wound, and freeze-framed that scene until my video tape was warped!

I have since become a HUGE fan of the late 70's and 80's horror films and sfx. I try my best to keep that look and feeling alive in "Zombie Hunters: City of the Dead". Dawn of the Dead ( My fav horror film of all time) was FULL of cool and interesting gags... man, what a great time and point in horror film history! I have read many books, tried lots of different things. I'm always learning, you gotta be; there is always something new to appreciate. I thank artists like Tom Savini, Dick Smith and Rick Baker for having such a huge impact on my life :)
